Delivery of our 8 hour flagship course. Participants become familiar with classifications of biological agents; differentiation in responder approach to biological incidents as opposed to chemical and radiological, introduction to various devices, instruments, and technologies for detecting and identifying biological agents and threats; use of the patent pending BioTechIQ system of charts and Biological Response Guide (BRG); rapid decision making and action plan implementation; rapid determination of appropriate decontamination agents for personnel and equipment; rapid selection of appropriate protection clothing and respiratory protection; and application of all of these skills and abilities to various bioterrorism scenarios as well as emergencies involving biological agents at facilities and in the various transportation modes.
Delivery of a standard or customizable course with strong focus on practical /hands on training using various biological detection devices and instruments. This includes scenario based facilitation in which participants “work” the situation from start to finish to identify biological threats and agents utilizing appropriate instrumentation and detection devices, often through the use of simulants.
The BioTechIQ team can work with our customers to develop table top bioterrorism / biological accident incident scenarios. These scenarios can be applied to a group, or groups, for various purposes including; regulatory compliance, agency readiness evaluation, interagency readiness and preparedness evaluation, interagency team building, and regional preparedness assessment.
